- Do not plan the vacation around the work schedule. Do it the other way around.
- Running meetings successfully and giving everyone the room to speak.
- More is better when it comes to praise, shoutouts, and giving recognition!
- Not asking questions or asking for help isn’t a green flag.
- Productivity is not measured by the no. of hours you put in, it’s the impact of the actions.
- Don’t say yes to everything. Prioritize, evaluate, and act.
- Work-life balance is a myth, try out a work-life blend, but have the boundaries.
- Accepting when you are not right and owning up to it.
- Preparing for the critical 1–1s (with your manager, direct reports, etc).
- Reiterate, reiterate, reiterate, until you get it right.
- Being a professional, and being professional. A fine line treads the distance, use your best judgment.
- Work is always there. Be present when at work. Be present when at home.
- Delegation is the key to self-progress and team success.
- Learn to be wrong, accept the wrong, and mitigate the wrong.
- Fast is not an action, it’s a result of an action that usually generates from the underlying foundation.
- Helping someone else get promoted doesn’t mean you are going to be behind.
- Small talk — is a networking skill.
- Be a mentor, find a mentor.
- Connections at work go beyond the life of a project.
- How to take negative feedback graciously.
- Perfecting the art of communication — verbal, visual, written, non-verbal, and listening.
